Congrats on the will -- our generation (I'm 49 too, at least this week) has been v. reluctant to face facts that way.
Yeah, I think there's two parts to this -- someone with your passwords who can update your LJ/DW and let people know what's happening (who can live anywhere), and someone local (or willing to fly in, if something seriously enough happens) who knows what you'd like done with your stuff.
